Muscat, Oman (26 August, 2024) – Audi Middle East is set to elevate the driving experience with the launch of the new Audi Q8, a masterpiece that combines luxury, performance, and cutting-edge technology. The launch comes as Audi updates the flagship of the Q family with an even purer design and upgraded technology, evident in the revised exterior aesthetic featuring new front and rear aprons that underscore the SUV coupé’s strong character. Building on the success of its predecessor, the Audi Q8 boasts a range of enhancements and innovations that continue to redefine the standards of premium SUVs in the Middle East markets. Additionally, the Q8 introduces newly designed headlights and taillights that leverage digitalisation, offering personalised options that further enhance its appeal and individuality.
One of the key highlights of the Audi Q8 is its exceptional performance capabilities. The Audi Q8 55 TFSI features a six-cylinder engine with 340 HP and 500 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. The SQ8, with a V8 engine, further emphasises the model’s sportiness. It boasts a 4.0 TFSI engine with 507 HP and 770 Nm of torque, coupled with a fast-shifting eight-speed tiptronic and quattro permanent all-wheel drive. The performance of the SQ8 aligns perfectly with customer expectations in the Middle East. With this engine, the SQ8 TFSI accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds, maintaining an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The Audi Q8’s performance is further enhanced by its advanced suspension system, which embodies Audi’s DNA of balanced, solid, controlled, precise, and effortless handling characteristics. The electronically controlled air suspension with continuously adaptive damping ensures optimal comfort and stability, offering an increased level of safety and comfort for drivers. Optional all-wheel steering further improves manoeuvrability, reducing the turning radius and enhancing stability at higher speeds.
The revised exterior aesthetic of the unmistakably powerful and upright Audi Singleframe with an octagon design now impresses with vertical inlays. These inlays are thoughtfully arranged in a teardrop shape in the Q8 exterior, while in the S line exterior package and the SQ8 TFSI, they take on the shape of an L, adding a distinctive and dynamic element to the SUV’s overall design. Furthermore, all Audi Q8 units feature a new exhaust system with premium-quality, visually appealing tailpipes that enhance the vehicle’s sporty appeal. Additionally, the S line exterior package, aligned even more closely with the SQ8 TFSI, stands out with its clearly accentuated side air intakes in the front bumper, further enhancing the Q8’s sporty and sophisticated appearance. These design elements underscore Audi’s commitment to delivering both aesthetic refinement and advanced technological features in the Audi Q8.
At the heart of the Audi Q8 are its high-intensity LED headlights that illuminate the road with precision. The latest addition to the top-of-the-range headlights is the digital daytime running light signatures, elevating the Q8’s visual appeal. These signatures, accessible via the MMI interface, offer users a choice of four distinct light signatures, further enhancing the SUV’s unique and unmistakable appearance. This level of personalisation reflects Audi’s dedication not only to providing a luxurious driving experience but also to delivering customised aesthetics that appeal to discerning customers. For those seeking an extra level of sophistication, Matrix LED headlights are available as an option. The top-of-the-range HD Matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light technology provide an unparalleled high beam range, activated above 70 km/h, enhancing safety and visibility. The Q8’s distinctive design is further accentuated by digital OLED rear lights, offering four selectable light signatures that complement the Audi laser light system, creating a striking visual impression on the road.
