With the end of Ramadan, talabat took a look at interesting consumer trends in the Sultanate and across the region. This included favorite local cuisines, dishes, popular times people get their everyday groceries, and a look at the regions’ on-going generosity.
Indulging in your favorite choices:
This Ramadan, people loved ordering from their local favorites in Oman from Sweet and Salty Box and Snack Box being the most popular items from the local favorite brand – Cake Creations. Additionally, as Ramadan is a month of togetherness, when families and loved ones meet to share a meal and create priceless memories. More than 9,700 group meals were ordered during Iftar in the Sultanate, making it the most popular time people came together in Ramadan.
Last but not least, let’s not forget our love for coffee! This year, the all-time favorite Iced Spanish Latte conquered, with more than 4,600 ordered in Oman between 08:00pm and 11:00pm. After all, it’s never too late in the day to chase the ultimate caffeine kick!

Our technology brings convenience to customers, giving them back the time to do what they love, and in Ramadan that means skipping that trip to the grocery store!
This Ramadan, customers in Oman preferred to get their groceries between 12:00pm and 01:00pm, with Oasis Drinking Water being the most popular item, and dairy & eggs being the most popular category across the region. Large orders were also popular, with the biggest having 126 items for a value of over OMR 150. Lastly, a Ramadan staple has shown a rise in popularity with Vimto being ordered 5 times more ahead of the holy month than during the rest of the year in the region!

This Ramadan, salads were popular on talabat, and people were choosing their favorite healthier options from the ‘healthy’ collection with more than 600 orders during Iftar. Bravo!
Showing riders appreciation for all that they do every day:
Riders are an essential part to bringing a reliable experience on the talabat app, and it’s always great to see customers show appreciation and gratitude for their efforts – and the largest tip by a caring customer in Oman was OMR 10!
