Muscat, 13 September 2023 — Back in the 1960s, common cars were generally incapable of long-distance travel and had very low mechanical reliability. But there existed a breed of high performance, high-reliability and high-horsepower cars called GT, Gran Turismo in Italian or Grand Tourer in English. These were high- performance luxury station wagons that were designed for long-distance travel. Although cars got more reliable with time and any modern car is good enough for long commutes, the term GT has stuck with us. These days, it generally refers to high-performance sports cars, and people associate cars with the GT logo with being able to drive at high speeds for a long time.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT is inspired by these high-performance automotives. Huawei broke through the boundaries of traditional thought, adding GT to its smartwatches. As such, the HUAWEI WATCH GT Series inherits the core spirit of the Grand Tourer in its DNA with its revolutionary long battery life and powerful sports and health features.
HUAWEI WATCH GT Series: A Star is Born
In 2018, when the first generation of the HUAWEI WATCH GT was launched, it amazed everyone with its incredible two-week battery life, scientific workout features and health monitoring capabilities. It also enabled continuous monitoring of the user’s health status, making it a hit product in the smartwatch field.
The following year, the series saw a major update with the coming of the HUAWEI WATCH GT 2, which brought more advanced features such as blood oxygen monitoring, Bluetooth calls and music playback, and heart health monitoring. It conveyed the idea that fitness is an attitude to life, and encouraged users to stay active and have an explorer spirit. In March 2020, HUAWEI WATCH GT 2e was launched. It inherited the same innovative spirit of the HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 Series, but with more focus on the needs of younger users.
The Fashionable Health-Focused Smartwatch
In 2021, the world witnessed the unveiling of the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Series. This update finally consolidated the position of the GT Series as the smartwatch with a long battery life and brought some comprehensive upgrades to its hardware and software capabilities. This also established the image of the WATH GT Series as a serious health and fitness wearable. It also attracted people who preferred traditional watches over smartwatches with its fashionable appearance, ultra-clear large screen, new interface design, high-end materials and wide range of colour options and watchbands. The HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 Series featured continuous heart rate and SpO2 monitoring and sleep, breathing health, and stress monitoring, helping users take better care of their health.
It has been almost 2 years since the WATCH GT 3 Series launch, and it is already due for another wearable revolution from Huawei. If you are a smartwatch enthusiast, you too might be waiting for what Huawei might bring next to its WATCH GT Series. The HUAWEI WATCH GT Series has come a long way since its inception in 2018. So, we sure can expect some exciting designs and features in the future.
If you are pursuing a healthier lifestyle and are eager to explore healthy living rules in a fast-paced working environment, then the HUAWEI GT Series is for you. It is born to be your partner for scientific sports and health management.
